Sleepovers-According to me

So I have been to a ton of sleepovers in my life and for me they have always gone the same way. First you make plans to sleepover and you then you forget to pack your stuff so at the last minute you throw a pair of pants, a shirt, or whatever you can find in your bag. (99% of the time you forget your tooth brush.) Then you get there and you say hi to your friends and what not and you put your stuff where ever. Next comes the awkward part. You don't really know what to do, you are like "Ok, now what?" After a while of thinking that going to this sleepover was a mistake because it is boring, you decide to do something. Usually this happens right around dinner time. Now dinner time is so awkward. You don't know if you should sit there, help or what. Then when everyone is sitting down, you just eat quietly and don't say much... For a long time no one says anything, then usually one of the parents asks you a question or asks their kid a question. Finally, dinner is over. You are with your friend(s) and just are relaxing on the couch. That's when the sibling comes in. This is usually the younger one who wants to be a "big kid" and hang out with the older people. You probably think that he/she is adorable and cute, but to your friend, he/she is the most annoying thing in the world. They fight for a good twenty minutes while you watch awkwardly, not knowing what to do. By that time, usually one of the parents steps in and takes the younger kid away to go get ice cream or something like that. Now that the "annoyance" is gone, you probably watch a movie or get popcorn. By the time the movie is over, the house is quiet, everyone is quiet, and you guys are the only ones who are awake. (If this is a girl sleepover I swear this happens every time.) You two talk, and talk, and talk, for a good three hours. When it's about three in the morning, your friend or you decide that it's time to go to sleep. This can go either two ways. Your friend wants to still talk but you are so tired you think you could pass out at any minute, or your friend(s) falls asleep and you can't sleep so you just lie there awake. In the morning (around nine) you wake up (usually by the rest of the family having breakfast) and you both go eat. It's about ten now and you are still in your jam jays (Pjs). You feel a little sick from the lack of sleep but just lie on the couch and watch TV. Right around then is where your parents come. You grab your stuff, say thanks, and leave. When you come home you crash on the couch and sleep for the next five hours. And that is what sleepovers are like 99% of the time. Leave a comment if this is what happens to you guys or if things go differently.
